MT HOTHAM and Falls Creek alpine resorts are re-opened, and ski lifts have resumed operations to the public today, following last night’s end to Victoria’s 12-day statewide lockdown to bring the latest COVID outbreak under control.
Both resorts are in peak condition, with average snow depths of around 130cms to be topped up with 20cms of fresh snow forecast to fall over the next 24 hours.
Under Victorian restrictions announced yesterday for the next two weeks, people can visit the ski fields but require a COVID test and receipt of a negative result within 72 hours prior to visiting.
Children under 12 years of age are not required to be tested.
