Colorado Breckenridge

Endearingly known as “Breck”, this is one of Colorado’s most well-rounded ski resorts. It’s a gargantuan mountain experience with welcoming small town atmosphere. Breckenridge has a swag of noteworthy stats with 2,908 rideable acres stretching over 5 peaks, over 180 trails and 4 terrain parks plus the tallest chairlift in North America.

Bring along extra energy and big lungs as this resort is the highest in Colorado, so the quality of the snow is awesome. Towering peaks, deep dry powder and an unimaginable constellation of varied terrain will ensure everyone and can get into the action. Those up for a leg burning challenge can traverse into huge expanses of open alpine landscape with a bevy of bowels, deep stashes and steeps. It’s all here from newbie beginner zones right through to double black diamond runs and chutes. Breck is also said to be a snowboarders paradise with its gnarly parks, ungroomed off-piste and long cruising rollers for those buttering tricks.

After last runs there’s the effervescent après-ski scene, re-fuelling with umpteen dining options, entertainment and finally a warm cosy bed to recuperate before the next sun rise when it’s time to do it all again – it’s called the Breck Effect and it’s infectious!
