WHAT could be more romantic than a picnic among the vines of Mansfield’s Delatite Winery?

That’s what Delatite Winery is currently offering to locals and visitors – keeping in line with COVID-19 restrictions – social distancing – but also a touch of romance.

Marketing manager Polly Ritchie said a picnic platter box gives visitors to the winery the chance to appreciate and enjoy a stroll among the vines, take in the extensive views of the mountains beyond and relax in the peaceful and beautiful surrounds of the vineyard.

“Just bring your own picnic rug or folding table and chairs and choose your spot among the vines,” she said.

Picnic hampers (platter boxes) are now offered at the winery with a choice of two – a cheese platter or a vintner’s platter.

The first offers three cheeses, fresh and dried fruits, quince paste and crackers.

You can ‘upsize’ requesting enough for more if sharing with family or friends.

The second offers a larger hamper including a terrine, rare roast beef, salami, paté, cheeses, fresh and dried fruits and a baguette – again for two - or more if requested.

The platter boxes can then be partnered with your choice of Delatite Winery’s wines – just choose your favorite.

Pre-bookings are best when organising your visit to the winery – eat among the vines or platter boxes can be packaged for ‘take away’ just designate when ordering.
