Walking a different path

IF it is something unique you are after yet you still love to bush walk, consider a guided walk with Monnie Richardson of Mansfield Bushwalks.

"Sometimes it's just nice to have your very own chauffeur and tour guide to show you the sites," Monnie said.

"At Mansfield Bushwalks we offer pack-free walks and minibus tours to some wonderful local places where you can enjoy the history, flora and fauna, and take in a nature walk too.

“Let us take you on and off the beaten track.”

Among the guided tours Monnie offers is a half day experience to Lake Eildon and surrounds (includes travel time) with destinations such as Eildon, Macs Cove, Goughs Bay, Howqua Inlet, Piries or Bonnie Doon - you choose.

Great if you love bushwalking, natural scenery, photography and wildlife viewing.

Or perhaps a day tour to explore a forgotten part of the world at Mt Samaria with its fantastic views over Bridge Creek, Tolmie and Barjarg.

This is an area full of native animals, with incredible scenery, seasonal waterfalls and historical features.

Interested in local history?

The Howqua Hills History tour consists of an eight hour day and gives you bushwalking, history, natural scenery, photography opportunities - an exploration trip which will take you back in time to the days of the gold rush era.

A variety of short walks on well-formed paths are part of the tour, though participants may choose to spend time relaxing on the riverbank.

With all tours you are welcome to bring a packed lunch or local catering can be arranged (additional costs).
