Illawong Hike starts from Guthega carpark, and look for the Illawond Walk signs.
The Illawong bridge return look at at Guthega and offers a mix of viewing entertainment along the route. Firstly, you see the beautiful Guthega Dam, part of the Snowy Scheme. Follow the signage and narrow dedicated walking trail through the alpine heath along the southern side of the Snowy River. You will find Illawong Hut and the Illawong suspensions bridge.
This 5km return walk is easy and relatively flat.
