Falls Creek has plenty to explore

FALLS Creek offers fun for everyone with skiing and snowboarding on its picturesque slopes.

And of course, there is always the joy of snow play and tobogganing in the snow park too.

For those with an adventurous spirit and legs of steel the Falls Creek Guides can help you explore beyond the resort lines and into the Bogong High Plains with its hidden bowls of snow that create winter worlds away from the resort runs.

As well as knowledge and experience of the backcountry, they provide a hot lunch and home–baked morning tea – a must for celebrating ascending a mountain and taking in the views.

If walking isn't the preferred mountain climbing method, Falls Creek Backcountry Tours will pull visitors to the top in their sleds.

And if skiing neither up nor down doesn't appeal, Falls Creek Snowmobile Tours provide an out–of–bounds adventure on their fleet of snowmobiles – a great way to explore in style.

Alpine Helicopters not only provide scenic flights of our glorious mountain ranges but also offer a HeliHop service between Falls Creek, Hotham and Perisher, so visitors can do a day trip to explore the other Epic Pass mountains before returning to Falls Creek to enjoy some après ski at any one of the resorts many welcoming bars and restaurants.

Falls Creek's events calendar is looking pretty full this year to keep visitors entertained, even after a busy day on the slopes.

Twilight Tuesdays in the Village Bowl for some marshmallow toasting and a visit from Pete the Dragon is back this year and on Thursday's the kids will love the Fireworks Fiesta.

Interschool races and the Kangaroo Hoppet are back on this year for those who like to move fast, and for those who just love to walk under the snow–covered trees in the mountain village, don't miss the Festival of Light which will create laser–light magic through the village.

In conjunction with Falls Creek's 75th anniversary of when the first lodge was built in the village, the Festival of Light will be a series of spectacular installations across Falls Creek's famous alpine village, creating a variety of features for Falls Creek visitors to explore.
