Easter Art Show returns

NOW in its 23rd year, the Mansfield Easter Art Show has become an icon of Mansfield Easter celebrations and has earned the reputation as one of the most popular and best quality commercial art shows in regional Victoria.

Brought to you by Richard Watson of Richard A. Watson Fine Art, and Terry Earle from Without Pier Gallery, on show are works by 40 established artists, with all artworks, sculptures and glass for sale.

An addition to this year's art show will be Collector's Corner – set just to the left of the foyer in the small Grand Lodge Room.

Collector's Corner will offer a variety of paintings from the past – all Australian artists and dating back from the late 19th century to the present.

The Collector's Corner pieces are from artists that do not currently exhibit and are mostly Australian scenes – some are from Richard Watson's private collection.

Also new to the exhibition this year will be a range of sculptures along with the art glass which was introduced several years ago.

Having experienced more than 20 years managing and curating art galleries in Melbourne and art exhibitions in regional Victoria (including the Mansfield Easter Art Show), Richard offers a wide range of art from renowned and emerging Australian artists.

One such artist being featured this year is Kasey Sealy who has painted in many overseas countries, including UK, France, Venice, Italy and USA.

He still manages regular painting trips around Australia, as his love of the Australian bush is the source of much of his inspiration.

Other artists to feature this year include: Ji Chen, Joseph Zbukvic, Herman Pekel, Jenny Fusca, and upcoming artists Baden Croft, Malcolm Beattie, Craig Penny, Sara Paxton and Patrick Wong.

Local Mansfield artist Jennifer Gibney will again exhibit and popular artist Lisa Wang returns.

All artists included in the exhibition are professionals.

Entry to this year's Mansfield Easter Art Show is by gold coin donation which is being held at the Mansfield Masonic Hall, Highett Street for eight days from Good Friday, April 15 through to Saturday, April 23 and is open from 9am to 6pm daily.
