LAST Tuesday, Ambulance Victoria transported a patient via air ambulance from the Mansfield Oval.

The helicopter touched down shortly before 3:30pm, taking off at 4pm after receiving a patient.

Coinciding with the release of school students, crowds watched on as police secured the area and made way for the ambulance.

The patient was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in just over 30 minutes where they will receive further care.
