THIS year's Median to Rare Peoples' choice came down to the wire with only a handful of the 350 votes between the top three.
An annual event hosted by Arts Mansfield and held on the median strip opposite the Mansfield Post Office, the competition encourages entries from local sculptors from beginner to expert who work in all kinds of media.
Local artist Ron Ahl's The Grass Tree took out the first prize with Vicki Combridge's Winner Winner Chicken Dinner securing second, with long-term exhibitor Trevor Thompson a close third with his inventive String Beams.
"Arts Mansfield would like to thank all our sponsors who make this event possible and coordinator Marg Attley and her volunteers who we could not have done without on the busy weekend," said Emma McPherson, vice president Arts Mansfield.
