SET aside the weekend of March 11 for a bronco busting Merrijig Rodeo event.
Be sure not to miss the action of Merrijig Rodeo when the gates open at 12 noon and the junior events commence at 2pm.
The main event starts at around 6.30pm but there is plenty of action to see and do prior to this.
The main event will start with a Grand Entrance – Women of the High Country, followed by the National Anthem, performed by Mick Hearn.
Next up will be the 2nd Division Bull Ride, Breakaway Roping, Corcoran Parker Saddle Bronc Ride Round 1, Steer Wrestling Round 1; Tradeflex Open.
Continuing on into the evening the events keep coming with the Bull Ride Round 1, Barrel Race, Jess Hearn Memorial Local Steer Ride, Bareback Ride and Team Roping.
Finishing off the night will be the Corcoran Parker Saddle Bronc Ride Final Round, Steer Wrestling Final Round, and the Tradeflex Open Bull Ride Final Round (buckle courtesy of Riverside Fence Contracting).
The annual Rodeo event would not be possible if it wasn't for the generosity of the McCormack family who have provided the land and facilities for the rodeo arena.
McCormack Park has plenty of room for parking right next to the rodeo arena.
However, this year this is no place for camping so accommodation must be found elsewhere.
And if you'd prefer to leave the car at home or at your accommodation in town, we've got you covered with bus transfers kindly provided by Busfleet, operating to and from Mansfield.
Bus Fleet can also provide private group transfers from anywhere in the area.
Bus Transfers will depart Mansfield 5pm and 6pm from 28 Highett St (outside the Old Fire Station) and Cnr Timothy Lane and Mt Buller Rd
Return transport starts from McCormack Park 10pm and 11pm
