See Mt Buller from new heights

CRISP winter days are upon us, which means only one thing to the Global Ballooning Australia team – beautiful, still days over Mansfield and perfect flying conditions.

Which is why the Global team have now launched Victoria's first winter flights, with the magnificent backdrop of the snow–capped peaks of Mt Buller and Mt Stirling.

Protected by surrounding hills, Mansfield is a natural pastoral basin and the topography of the area lends itself to bluebird, cool wintry conditions, even when cloud covers the heights of Victoria's High Country.

Afternoon flights – in the golden hours of the day – provide a new option for those adventure tourists who don't want to roll out of bed before sunrise, and an opportunity to do something unique off–mountain while still experiencing the beauty of Mt Buller.

"Mansfield has a bustling winter snow–town vibe, so it makes sense to enjoy the mountains from a new vantage point, and make your visit extra memorable – you won't believe how breathtaking the views are from a thousand feet up," pilot Georgia Croft says.

Afternoon flights can be booked from May to September.
