FOLLOWING on from a highly successful fundraiser dinner on July 11 for Multiclass Snowsports, the organisers Snow Sisters can now announce that $35,000 was raised.
According to one of the three Snow Sisters founders, Suzanne Rumble, this was an outstanding effort, "and the most raised at a Snow Sisters event".
"We are Multiclass' biggest supporter and will continue to raise funds with the support of the Snow Sisters community, " Suzanne said.
"The Snow Sisters have been an incredible contributor to our organisation for the last three years," said Multiclass Snowsports' spokesperson Mathieu Laguë.
"The significant contribution from the Snow Sisters allows athletes with an intellectual disability to train over two days ski clinic followed by a racing event on the third day.
"The funding raised by the Snow Sisters allows the Multiclass Snowsports organisation to fund all ski instructors for the ski clinics as well as vests for our athletes and our coordinators.
"Without the Snow Sisters, the families of our athletes would be left with a significant financial burden which would prevent many to participate year after year."
"Next year's fundraising event will be held on Thursday July 10 so please follow Snow Sisters social media for updates and ticket sales," said Suzanne.
