Name: Paul Smyth

Where are you usually based?

At Buller Sports Mansfield during summer then in between Mt Buller and Mansfield over winter.

Current occupation and what do you love about it?

I am the Buller Sports manager.

I love meeting new people from around the world, whether they be staff or guests.

What is your favourite part of Mt Buller and what attracted you to working with this resort?

Mt Buller has been regarded by many as the best ski resort to work at in Australia.

My background is leading large high performing teams and I enjoy being able to provide an outstanding customer experience.

I also really appreciate when as a customer myself, I am on the receiving end of a friendly staff member that adds value during interactions.

Whether it be advice, knowledge or just a caring conversation.

This website https://cunextseason.com/australias-best-ski-resorts-for-employees/ rates Mt Buller as the best resort overall for workers.

Do you ski or snowboard?

I first skied in France then Canada while on family holidays as they wouldn’t allow me to snowboard which I desperately wanted to try based on my love of surfing and skateboarding.

Eventually I started snowboarding in Australia and won’t turn back.

Yes, I have visited resorts in Australia and overseas.

Just in lunch breaks and days off during the season with my wife.

My son and daughter are in the Bunyip's program.
