ORIGINATING more than a decade ago, what started from a casual gathering of friends enjoying dinner on the slopes of Mt Buller has become a major fundraising dinner, uniting more than 100 women and a few brave men in support of a charitable cause.
This year's event was organised by Snow Sisters co-founder Suzanne Rumble, Breathtaker manager Rachel Wadsworth who were supported by Mathieu Lague, Multiclass committee member.
Hosted at Kaptans Restaurant Pension Grimus on July 11 by Lotte Grimus and her dedicated team, this year's event featured a sumptuous three-course dinner.
The evening was dedicated to supporting the Multiclass Sports Association – Victorian Snowsports, with proceeds dedicated to fostering inclusivity in snowsports through various initiatives.
The highlight of the night was a spirited live auction, featuring exclusive experiences that captivated attendees.
Among the coveted items were a breathtaking Buller Sunrise Experience, an intimate dining experience for 15 at The Post Office Hotel by Tommy Collins Group, and a private lodge dinner for eight with executive chef Ross O’Meara at Mt Buller.
Other exciting auction items included a luxurious seven-night stay in Tuscany for eight guests, a tropical getaway to Phuket for six guests, a week-long Bali retreat for 10 guests with a personal chef and driver, and a private dinner for 10 guests at home.
It was fantastic to see the generosity of the Mt Buller community which will make a meaningful difference for the children who participate in the Multiclass programs.
A big thank you to David Speirs, auctioneer and Matt Fitton, master of ceremonies and of course the amazing performer Paris Zachariou who had everyone dancing the night away.
The Snow Sisters would also like to recognise the efforts of Sonia Evans and Sandra Maier, co-founders who assisted during the night.
"Most of all, thank you to everyone who attended the event, your contribution was incredible in raising funds for Multiclass," organisers said.
Through their efforts, Snow Sisters continues to expand its impact, raising funds for Multiclass.
Their commitment to inclusivity and community support ensures that everyone, regardless of ability, can enjoy the thrill of snow sports.
