THE vibe was great for the final dress rehearsal for Mansfield Musical & Dramatic Society 's (MMuDs) latest production "The Castle 2" which opened on Saturday night with a sell-out season for all performances.

Directed by Will Twycross the musical has a large cast of all ages and is about the next generation of the Kerrigans based on the original much-loved Australian movie.

There are plenty of local references to keep the audience amused and an upbeat playlist of popular rock classics.

MMuDs is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year so the success of this show adds to an impressive list of shows over many years.
