SEVEN wineries of the King Valley are celebrating the return of the La Dolce Vita food and wine festival this coming weekend.
Always a celebration of the sweet life, La Dolce Vita festival makes a welcome return after a COVID hiatus.
Food, entertainment and that warm King Valley welcome will be on show this weekend.
“Visitors are able to buy their tickets online and we are excited to announce that this year we see the return of the common wine tasting glass,” said Linda Newton from La Cantina King Valley.
“We have listened to our visitors and we are working together with the participating wineries to introduce this back into our popular event.”
Participating venues for this year’s event include Brown Brothers, Dal Zotto, La Cantina, Darling Estate, Pizzini, Politini and John Gehrig Wines.
While the focus is always on the wine, it is the food and warm welcome that is at the heart of La Dolce Vita in the King Valley.
“From crafted sharing plates, pizza, arancini, gnocchi and Italian-style sausages to Nonna’s cannoli and refreshing ice cream, the star of the event is always the food,” Wines of the King Valley president, Dean Cleave-Smith, said.
“The beauty of the event is also the fact that it is family-friendly, kids are always welcomed to enjoy the fun as well.”
The much-anticipated return of the regional event sees festival tickets providing entry into all the participating wineries on Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19 and includes a tasting glass.
Each venue has their own selection of wines for tasting, but for those happy to sit with friends and family under the trees and enjoy the entertainment, wines by the glass and cocktails will be available.
For those wanting to start their festival participation a day earlier, Brown Brothers have their opening night dinner on Friday night, and Dal Zotto’s are welcoming guests to Prosecco Nights on the Friday evening.
The winemaking families of the King Valley welcome you to experience the Italian wine styles they are famed for.
Travel between the participating wineries which showcase the beauty and diversity of the King Valley.
Live music, DJs, children's activities and local produce will round out the experience.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased online at https://www.winesofthekingvalley.com.au or at the gate on event days at all seven participating venues.
