Sun Peaks has more added appeal for Australian travellers joining forces with more than 50 worldwide destinations in the Ikon Pass community for winter 2022-23.
Alterra Mountain Company have announced Ikon Pass holders will now have access to the welcoming Sun Peaks mountain environment found at Canada’s second largest ski area.
Boasting 4,270 acres of varied terrain to suit all levels and with a quaint village at the base of the mountain, Sun Peaks has always been a popular destination for Australians and is ideal as a family destination. Connections are made from Vancouver International Airport to Kamloops, then connecting with shuttle to the resort.
Ikon Pass holders will have access for seven days at Sun Peaks with no blackout dates and for Ikon Base Pass holders, access is for five days with select blackout dates.
The Ikon Pass community includes destinations in 11 countries across the Americas, Europe, Japan, Australia (Thredbo and Mt Buller) and New Zealand.

This winter, Ikon Pass holders save up to 35% on stays of two or more nights. Combined with recently updated measures for Canadian travel and border regulations, the timing is perfect for Ikon Pass holders and other snow sliders from around the world to begin planning their next adventure to Sun Peaks.
For travellers looking to link up with other Ikon Pass resorts in the area, Revelstoke is the closest a three hours drive by car.
Joining Sun Peaks for winter 2022-23 is Grandvalira Resorts Andorra, which follows other recent additions including Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley in France, Sun Valley in Idaho, Snowbasin in Utah, Lotte Arai in Japan, and Panorama in British Columbia.
For European travellers, the inclusion of Grandvalira Resort Andorra gives Ikon Pass holders access to the largest area in the Pyrenees and 7,599 acres of terrain over 210 kilometres of trails and over 100 lifts.
