TOUGHNESS and reliability are trademarks of the Tinger ATV (all-terrain vehicles) Australian range, which, according to Melbourne-based sales and marketing representative Jeff Gibbon, proves its worth across various commercial sectors, including the snow fields.
The Australian business began with its first shipment of ATVs from Europe in 2017.
In 2018, Mr Gibbon was contracted to help establish the sales side of the business, with a warehouse in Bayswater.
Tinger units have been sold across the country, including Tasmania and Western Australia, which also encompasses the mining sector, which has eagerly adopted ATVs in its operations, said Mr Gibbon.
Due to the versatile nature of the rugged ATVS, farmers, agricultural businesses, government departments, and emergency response units such as the SES are using them as well.
“Our units are designed so you just get into them and drive,” said Mr Gibbon.
“They are reliable because there are not a lot of moving parts, and they can take a lot of knocks.
“Our ATVs can go from snow to ice, mud to slush, and can go through a lake because they are amphibious,” he said.
It can also tackle hilly and rocky mountains, soft sandy areas and scrubby bush areas.
The company’s ATVs were recently used during the flood emergency at Yea.
Built-in all-terrain and all-season features assist in obtaining access to remote and isolated areas, allowing the vehicles to transport people, fuel, and water easily.
They can also aid in servicing machinery, conducting property maintenance, and vegetation management, which is ideal in an alpine location.
There are two models designed with alpine resorts in mind.
The first is a ute/tray ATV perfect for carting heavy equipment to carry out maintenance work, such as welding gear to work on a chair lift or for any other trade work.
It is also ideal for hospitality operators on the mountain who need to transport large crates of food and drinks to their venues.
The second model is a people mover with a capacity to carry five persons.
Tinger rigorously tests all its ATVs to meet the strict Australian government criteria to ensure the highest safety standards for commercial and recreational use.
These ATVs’ built-in safety features include rollover protection structures (ROPs), solid roof frames and seat belts.
Other design features are ergonomic bucket seats and weather curtains to shield you from the elements.
Tinger ATVs can be registered for on-road use.
They boast 57-horsepower motors and commercial-grade transmissions.
The price range for a Tinger ATV is competitive compared to similar vehicles when looking at its long-term longevity and low-cost upkeep.
The ATVs can be easily serviced by most people with some mechanical knowledge and all units come with a service kit that costs $55 said Mr Gibbon.
“Tinger ATVs are used across many different industries for many different applications and can be easily modified to suit customers’ requirements," he said.
Tinger ATVs are sold in 26 countries around the world including Australia.
