Trail and footpath maintenance works underway

ALPINE Shire Council’s civil works team is currently working with contractors to carry out important maintenance and upgrades on several popular rail trails, footpaths and shared paths.

Works are currently taking place on Bennet’s Trail in Wandiligong, from Pioneer Park to Alpine Park, the Harrietville Rail Trail and various footpaths and shared paths across the shire.

"These works are essential to keep our trails safe, accessible, and enjoyable for pedestrians and cyclists," an Alpine Shire Council spokesperson said.

"Regular maintenance helps ensure these well-loved community paths remain in good condition for years to come.

"There may be minor disruptions while works are underway.

"We ask pedestrians to follow signage and instructions from team members on-site.

"We appreciate your patience as we improve these trails for everyone's safety and enjoyment."
