Get out and about this summer

DAVID Chitty and his leader team at Adventure Guides Australia are relishing the opportunity to be out in the mountains and rivers of the North East and taking happy customers on amazing adventures again.

Although COVID restrictions were at times challenging, it did not adversely affected how they operate tours.

"We actually used the time where we couldn’t operate with customers to train our staff in working in a changing COVID-19 environment and we practised using those methods," said David.

"So far using masks hasn’t hindered anything we do and the groups we’ve had recently - including a school group - have had no issues either using masks or managing social distancing."

Adventure Guides offer half-day, full day or multi-day programs and have regular abseiling, rock climbing and kayaking tours around Bright, Mt Buffalo and Beechworth or you can book a private adventure.

During the coming ‘green’ season you can abseil four, eight, 10, 25, 35 or 45 metre cliffs and for the hardcore adventurer ask about the 250 metre south wall. Amazing rock climbing experiences and dry canyoning at Mount Buffalo (which is suitable for families) are also available.

You also might like to try an achievable white water kayaking or pack rafting experience down the Ovens River on board a kayak or pack raft through the Ovens River rapids at Bright.
