Australian’s love their Japanese skiing, with the Niseko region one of the most popular.
Visitors who are familiar with the Hanazono ski area will welcome the news of upgrades to both lifts and on the slopes.
Hanazono 1 Lift Upgrade
The Hanazono 1 Lift is being replaced with the latest POMA stylish 6 person chair lift with heated leather seats and footrests. The new lift spans 1589 meters in length and will have a ride time of 5 minutes 30 seconds.
Hanazono Symphony All New Gondola
The 10-person cabin will feature individual leather seats instead of benches to provide more personal space and will send guests via an intermediate station to the top station located at the east end of the resort.
The new lift spans 1,362 meters with a ride time of 5 minutes
New Courses
The Gondola area will also see the opening of new courses (runs) on the eastern edge of the mountain. The top station will have an entrance to a complete new intermediate course, and the middle station allows direct access to a new beginner course to the base.
The new Colly’s Folly course will run from the gondola top station to middle station and a see a wide and enjoyable 550 metre length run with an average slope angle just over 20 degrees.
Juicy Fruit is the new beginner course formerly a part of Stairway to Heaven and can be accessed directly by alighting the gondola at the middle station. The beginner run will be 800 meters with a gentle average of 7 degrees.
