Lift pass pick up - anytime

PURCHASING your Mt Buller lift pass online is smart, but in the past new guests have still needed to collect their B-TAG in resort before getting on the slopes.

Mt Buller has been working on ways to get skiers and boarders on the slopes faster and out of ticket office queues, and this season has some handy self-serve automated lift pass collection boxes that do just that.

Four new ‘B-TAG Pick Up Boxes’ are operating this season with one at Horse Hill, near the Northside Express lift, and the remainder in the Mt Buller Village Square outside Buller Sports Central. Guests can simply scan their purchase code from their smartphone and the machine will dispense their B-TAG. The pick-up boxes operate 24/7 allowing guests to collect lift passes at any time without waiting for the ticket office to open.

“This technology is all about making the journey to the slopes that bit smoother,” explains Roman Pacak from Buller Ski Lifts.

“Guests who are ready to ride the lifts but simply need to collect their B-TAG can do it at a time that suits them, whether that is midnight or 6am. We are already seeing the Pick-up Boxes reduce the lines, helping staff at the ticket counters to focus on customers who need to speak to someone or get extra help.”

Mt Buller encourages skiers and boarders to create an online account so they can easily reload their B-TAG in the online store at home prior to a visit, adding on lift pass days as needed so they can get straight to the lifts and onto the slopes.

To access the ski area and ride the lifts, the B-TAG is scanned at each lift location. To scan reliably, lift passes must be kept in a secure pocket on the left side of your upper body and kept away from other passes or mobile phones.

Each skier or boarder riding the lifts must have their own B-TAG, including children under 5 and over 70’s.

B-TAGs can also be purchased or picked up from any Buller Sports or Altitude store (including Mansfield Buller Sports), any ticket window/office, and from the Mt Buller Ski and Snowboard School.
