What’s new at Whistler?

AS tourism reignites in Whistler, a number of exciting new experiences, additions and improvements are in the works for the coming winter.

And to celebrate the first full season, Australians will be able to travel to Canada for the first since 2019.

Melbourne's snow travel experts Mogul Ski World are giving you the chance to win $2000 holiday spending money when you book a 2023 Whistler holiday package for February, March or April.

"After being grounded for so long, and unable to enjoy the Northern Hemisphere winters, pent up demand for the coming season is huge," said Mogul Ski World's managing director, Felicity Moss.

"We're already seeing limited availabilities and high flight prices throughout January, so we're encouraging travellers to look outside their traditional travel dates and book for later in the season, when the snow is still incredible, the days are milder and the mountains are a little less busy.

"Whistler is one of our most popular destinations, so we're excited to team up with our friends at Tourism Whistler to offer this exciting prize and make someone's next Whistler holiday even more memorable."

What's new for the 2022–23 season?

Go Whistler Tours App

A new self–guided tours app, Go Whistler Tours will help visitors explore all Whistler has to offer and discover the resorts off–the–beaten–path experiences.

The app has been designed to help visitors form a deeper, more meaningful connection with the resort with fun self–guided tours exploring the area's nature trails, natural wonders, culture and history.

New Chairlifts

Two notable upgrades and new additions will be made to Whistler's already extensive lift system this coming winter, set to make getting on and around the mountains even faster and easier.

Big Red Express

The replacement of the existing high–speed 4–person lift with a high–speed 6–person chair will increase uphill capacity by nearly 30 per cent and enhance and modernise the guest experience mid–mountain out of the Creekside area.

Creekside Gondola

A new high–speed eight–person gondola, replacing the existing six–person gondola, will significantly improve wait times and increase out–of–base uphill capacity by 35 per cent in the Creekside area, especially on high–volume days.
